Our Story

Established in 2007, Freedom Hairdressers is an independent salon located on the Burnham High Street.

Now

Having celebrated our 13th year anniversary, Freedom has a versatile and very experienced team with over 70 years of hairdressing experience between our team.

Our Future

Our staff are always pushing their knowledge and skill to give our clients the best experience when coming into Freedom. We are preparing for training courses with both Goldwell and Joico respectively.

Louise O'Sullivan

Salon Owner & Style Director

Hi I’m Louise the creator of Freedom Haircutters. I have been a hairdresser for over 25 years and have worked with some amazing hairdressers along the way.

I love the magic of changing someone’s view of themselves simply by finding the right style/ colour .

That’s total job satisfaction. I live in Brighton and enjoy walking along the seafront and spending time cooking and seeing my friends.

Louise is in the salon on Thursdays, Fridays and a half day on Saturdays.

Helen Phelan

Salon Manager & Advanced Stylist

I have been working for Freedom for just under 10 years now. What I like at about my job is making someone smile. The feeling of having a positive impact on a persons life is priceless. I adore all aspects of hair from cutting to colouring, but my greatest passion is hair up. Proms, parties, Ascot and especially weddings as I feel it is a great privilege to be involved in someone’s special day.

In my personal life I love days out with my boyfriend and our dog as much as I enjoy snuggle nights in watching movies and box sets. Making people smile and laugh is what I live for.

Helen is in the Salon from Tuesday to Saturday. She does work until 09:00pm on Tuesdays for her clients.

Nicky Smith

Advanced Stylist & Beautician

Hi I’m Nicky , I’m an advanced stylist and beauty therapist. I’ve been part of the Freedom team for 10 years.

I enjoy all aspects of my work especially getting to know people and finding out what is going to make their visits special.

With attention to detail my aim is for every client to leave the salon feeling fantastic, if you look great , you feel great.

I enjoy getting my clients ready for their weddings or social events , as I myself love socialising with my family and friends .

Nicky is in the Salon on Thursdays until 09:00pm, Fridays until 03:00pm and Saturdays all day as self employed.

Vicky Walsh

Senior Stylist

Hello my name is Vicky. I'm a senior stylist at Freedom. I started hairdressing in 1995 so I have spent many years on the salon floor learning the craft. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing and I find it very rewarding to make my clients fell fabulous.

I'm an outgoing person that loves spending time with friends and family. I enjoy meeting new clients and I look forward to meeting you.

Vicky is in the salon Tuesdays, Thursdays until 09:00pm, Fridays until 03:00pm and all day on Saturdays as self employed.

Charlie Proctor

Stylist

Hello, I'm Charlie! I have been working at Freedom for 6 years and I love my job! My favorite thing to do is colour and I love to see a transformation in my clients hair to make them feel and look their best!

I love meeting new people and making them feel happy. I am bubbly and full of laughter. I love working with my sisters from Freedom. When I am not at work I am spending time with family and friends.

Charlie is in the Salon Tuesdays to Saturdays, and she finishes at 09:00pm on Thursdays.
